Ms Sonam Yangchen is a health policy and systems researcher from Bhutan with a strong interest in health systems strengthening, governance, health workforce development, digital health, and evidence-informed policymaking. Her work focuses on understanding how policies, institutions, and health system structures influence the accessibility, quality, equity, and resilience of health services.
She has contributed to research and policy analysis on a wide range of health system issues, including universal health coverage (UHC), health workforce planning and distribution, health information systems, service delivery, monitoring and evaluation, and health security. Her research emphasizes the use of data and evidence to support decision-making and improve health outcomes, particularly in resource-constrained settings and small developing states.
