Debjyoti Chanda

Dr Debjyoti Chanda is currently Professor and Head in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, India. With over 25 years of teaching experience at the university level, he has earlier served the Government of India in the Indian Information Service as a Gazetted Officer in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He has also been an English News Caster in DD News for over 20 years. A prolific writer, he regularly contributes to national and International Journals, Newspapers and Magazines and also participates in television debates and shows. Dr Chanda is a Member of the West Bengal Governor’s Education Advisory Committee and in the Post Graduate and Research Boards of 8 public and private universities. 5 Research Scholars have been awarded a Doctorate Degree under his supervision, and currently 3 more are pursuing their Ph.D.under his guidance.
