H.E. Mr. Yousef S. Y. Ramadan is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Dhaka. A career diplomat with more than four decades of experience, he has devoted his professional life to representing Palestine and advancing its interests across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Ambassador Ramadan joined the Palestinian Foreign Service in 1982. During his distinguished diplomatic career, he has served in Afghanistan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Zimbabwe, the People’s Republic of China and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. These assignments exposed him to a wide range of political and regional environments and gave him extensive experience in bilateral diplomacy, international cooperation and the representation of the Palestinian cause abroad. From 2008 to 2010, he served as Special Envoy of the President of the State of Palestine.
