Nupur Tewari is the Founder and CEO of Connect India Japan, the first dedicated India–Japan media and engagement platform, and has been working across the India–Japan corridor for over 23 years. She has pioneered initiatives that bring together business, diplomacy, culture, media and people-to-people relations, and has organized some of the largest India–Japan geopolitical and business events simultaneously across both countries.
Beyond her work in media and international relations, Nupur is an Ikigai coach and a trained Zen practitioner, having learned from Buddhist monks and integrated the principles of Japanese Ikigai with the wisdom of Indian yogic philosophy. Over the years, she has conducted nearly 3,000 sessions for leading corporates, universities and diverse audiences, helping people explore purpose, balance, resilience and meaningful living.
Her work also extends deeply into philanthropy and social impact, reflecting her belief that success should ultimately serve society. Through her unique India–Japan perspective, Nupur has emerged as a pioneering voice connecting the philosophical wisdom of India with the lived wisdom of Japan.
She is among the first Indians to build and lead such a multidisciplinary India–Japan platform, combining media, business, diplomacy, culture, spirituality and social responsibility to create a stronger and more meaningful India–Japan relationship.
