H.E. Michael Miller is a career European diplomat with nearly 30 years of experience in foreign affairs, peacebuilding, and development cooperation. He became the Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Bangladesh in 2024.
Since joining the European Union in 1996, he has held senior roles in Brussels and abroad, including leading EU relations with Montenegro, Serbia, and the Middle East. He has also served in EU Delegations to Turkey and Lebanon, working on political dialogue, economic partnerships, and regional security.
At the European External Action Service in Brussels, Ambassador Miller worked on security policy, conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and mediation. He holds an MA in Russian and Central European Studies from the University of London and an MA in Geography from the University of Cambridge.
