Hadza Min Fadhli Robby is an Associate Professor and academic specializing in International Relations based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He currently serves as a Lecturer and the Deputy Head of the International Programme within the Department of International Relations at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), a position he assumed in September 2025. His leadership experience at UII also includes roles as the Head of the Social Transformation Laboratory from 2022 to 2025 and as the Executive Director of the Embun Kalimasada Cultural Centre – Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII from 2018 to 2025. Before these appointments, he gained foundational experience as an academic tutor, temporary staff member, and intern research assistant at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
Hadza’s academic background includes a B.Pol.Sc (S.IP.) in International Relations from UGM, completed in 2014 with Honors. He subsequently earned an M.Sc. in International Relations from Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi in Turkey in 2018 with Honors, with a master’s thesis focused on a comparative discourse analysis of Indonesian and Turkish foreign policies. His research interests are strongly reflected in his publications, which explore themes such as democratic discourses, strategic partnerships between Indonesia and Turkey, contemporary leftist Islam movements, and interfaith engagement. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Religions, Insight Turkey, and the International Journal of Asian Christianity. He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, English, and Turkish, with additional proficiency in Arabic, Korean, and Hindi
In 2025, he was named a fellow of the Freedom of Religious Belief Fellowship Program at CRCS UGM. He holds professional memberships in the International Political Sciences Association, the Indonesian Association for International Studies (AIHII)
