Anastasia serves as Project Director for the AHEAD Bangladesh project, an EU-funded initiative to support Bangladesh’s democratic transition and promote the electoral integrity of the 2026 elections. With over 25 years of experience in democracy assistance, she specializes in election assessment and monitoring, civil society strengthening, and governance issues. She has led the implementation and management of diverse democracy, elections, and governance programs in coordination with parliaments, political parties, and CSOs across more than 16 countries across three continents. Her work has empowered CSOs to systematically observe over 25 elections in nations including Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Georgia, Uganda, Cambodia, Zimbabwe, etc.
An accomplished trainer and coach, Ms. Wibawa equips organizations with quantitative evaluation methods, including Voter List Verification (VLV) to assess voter list quality and Process and Results Verification for Transparency (PRVT) to evaluate election-day processes. She also integrates technology into democracy initiatives, such as social media monitoring.
