Assistant Professor Suthikorn Kingkaew is an academic practitioner, policy researcher, and consultant whose work connects management knowledge with practical solutions for national development. He holds a PhD in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge and has worked across academia, government, business, and international development. His commitment to national resilience was shaped by Thailand’s 1997 Asian financial crisis, which led him to focus on the links among science, technology, innovation, policy, investment, and industrial competitiveness. He later studied Technology Policy and Management at Cambridge Judge Business School, examining how governments, businesses, and research institutions can collaborate to strengthen innovation, commercialise research, build domestic capabilities, and increase participation in global value chains. His public-sector experience includes serving as a policy researcher for the Democrat Party and as staff to the Deputy Minister of Interior and the Minister of Finance, where he contributed to initiatives including the National Pension Fund and Land and Property Tax.
Dr. Suthikorn later served as Director of Research at the Future Innovative Thailand Institute under H.E. Surin Pitsuwan, leading work on economic reform, education reform, and innovative policies for local governments. He has also held roles at Thammasat University, the Asian Knowledge Institute, and the Thammasat Consulting Networking and Coaching Center, where he managed consultants, oversaw hundreds of executive training programmes, and helped expand the centre’s operations and performance. His consulting expertise includes organisational strategy, customer insight, stakeholder engagement, legislative processes, technology commercialisation, policy research, and executive development. He has worked with UNDP, ILO, The Asia Foundation, AWS, Meta, PayPal, the US-ASEAN Business Council, major Thai corporations, financial institutions, and government ministries. Through his leadership, research, and advisory work, he advances practical partnerships among government, business, academia, and international organisations to support innovation, stronger institutions, competitive industries, and sustainable development in Thailand and beyond.
